Our Team Members are dedicated to delivering outstanding service and assisting our Members in navigating life's challenges. The Automotive Service Technician II will:
- Perform only necessary and customer-requested services on vehicles.
- Execute all repairs in accordance with MAP (Motorist Assurance Program), OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturers), or accepted industry standards.
- Conduct test drives of vehicles to assess performance or drivability issues prior to service.
- Immediately clean spills and debris to minimize hazards.
- Maintain and care for company-provided tools and machinery.
- Report any unsafe conditions to the supervisor, including issues with lifts, overhead doors, and equipment.
- Participate in all required training and pursue additional training to enhance skills and effectiveness.
- Complete a minimum of 24 hours of continuing auto repair training annually, as sponsored or provided by the organization.
- Verify the accuracy of parts ordered for assigned vehicles promptly.
- Perform digital inspections and document findings thoroughly.
- Record all relevant information in the shop inspection or management system, attaching photos or videos to support repair needs.
- Communicate effectively with managers, service advisors, and fellow technicians to enhance overall location performance.
- Be prepared for travel to various locations as needed.
Successful candidates will possess:
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in the required language(s).
- Strong math and computer skills, with experience in software applications such as word processing, browsers, and email.
- A focus on member service.
- Knowledge of equipment/tool operation and diagnostic/repair procedures.
- Smog Repair and Testing Certification preferred (California only).
