We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse II: D5: Neuroscience to join our team at Albany Medical Center. The ideal candidate will possess excellent patient care skills, strong communication abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient experiences.

About the Role:

  • This is a full-time position working weekend nights in our Neurosciences & Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) - D5N.
  • The Clinical Nurse contributes to creating a compassionate and caring environment for patients, families, and colleagues through displays of kindness and active listening.
  • You will implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments, procedures, and special tests, while documenting treatment as required by company policy and local/state/federal rules and regulations.
  • You will also assess and evaluate patient needs for, and responses to, care rendered, applying sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions.
  • This role may require access to sensitive information, including HIPAA Protected Health Information.

Requirements:

  • A current RN license in New York State.
  • At least 1 year of experience as a registered nurse, preferably in a neuroscience or critical care setting.
