We are seeking a highly skilled Hospitalist Physician to join our academic faculty at Wake Forest University School of Medicine. As a Hospitalist Physician, you will be responsible for managing the clinical problems of acutely ill, hospitalized patients. Your expertise will be essential in admitting adult patients with medical problems, providing prompt and complete attention to all patient care needs, and collaborating with other physicians and healthcare personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Admitting adult patients with medical problems for hospital stay
  • Giving prompt and complete attention to all patient care needs, including diagnosis, treatment, and medical procedures
  • Collaborating and communicating with other physicians and healthcare personnel
  • Attending inpatient medicine consults and post-operative care
  • Employing quality and process improvement techniques
  • Conducting discharge planning and discharging patients
  • Transitioning patient care within the hospital and to the community
  • Efficiently using hospital and healthcare resources
  • Training and supervising medical students and residents
