Job Title: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Travel Nurse
Job Summary:
Cynet Health is seeking a skilled Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Travel Nurse to join our team. As a PICU Travel Nurse, you will have the opportunity to work in a high-acuity unit handling complex cases such as injury, respiratory failure, shock, multi-system failure, poisonings, near drowning, meningitis, post-op cardiac surgical care, and neurosurgery.
Responsibilities:
- Function at the standard level of nursing practice, providing high-quality patient care and maintaining a flexible schedule, working either day or night shifts as needed.
- Adhere to the unit's nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:1-2, ensuring optimal patient care and safety.
- Must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays, with restrictions on personal time off during Thanksgiving or Christmas.
- Required to have modules completed prior to the start, ensuring a smooth transition into the role.
- Travelers reimbursed for mileage when driving to other locations aside from the assigned base facility for NICU assignments.
- Compliance documentation deadline is the Wednesday prior to the start date, ensuring timely completion of necessary paperwork.
- Orientation consists of 12 hours, providing a comprehensive introduction to the unit and its policies.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 full years of recent independent PICU experience within the last year.
- Current California license required.
- BLS, PALS certifications.
- Willingness to float between units (CVPICU & NICU).
- Experience with ventilators, multiple monitors, specifically CVP and EKG.
- Willingness to receive the flu shot upon request.
