Job Summary

CPO Services, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Certified Prosthetist/Orthotist to join our team. As a key member of our patient care team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to patients in need of prosthetic and orthotic devices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians in evaluating and analyzing patient needs for orthotics and prosthetics.
  • Ensure proper patient management and care consistent with established practices.
  • Identify and resolve issues to ensure patient satisfaction with devices provided.
  • Provide administrative staff with information for reimbursement activities.
  • Collaborate with branch management to ensure proper inventory and material management.
Requirements
  • Thorough understanding of componentry and its suitability for specific uses.
  • Strong knowledge of related biomechanics and medical terminology.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for accurate and concise presentation.
  • Ability to instruct clinical and non-clinical personnel on patient care services.
  • Active listening and comprehension skills for analyzing reports and charts.
  • Ability to assess patient condition and advise physicians on treatment options.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to build professional relationships.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift patients using biomedical techniques frequently throughout the day.
  • Ability to walk, bend, stand, and reach constantly during a work day.
  • Visual acuity sufficient to maintain accurate records and recognize people.
  • Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand and give directions.
  • Ability to push wheeled equipment throughout the facility.
Education and Credentials
  • American Board Certified (ABC) certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics.
  • Two to five years experience in providing orthotic services under the supervision of a certified practitioner.
