CPO Services, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Certified Prosthetist/Orthotist to join our team. As a key member of our patient care team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to patients in need of prosthetic and orthotic devices.
Key Responsibilities- Assist physicians in evaluating and analyzing patient needs for orthotics and prosthetics.
- Ensure proper patient management and care consistent with established practices.
- Identify and resolve issues to ensure patient satisfaction with devices provided.
- Provide administrative staff with information for reimbursement activities.
- Collaborate with branch management to ensure proper inventory and material management.
- Thorough understanding of componentry and its suitability for specific uses.
- Strong knowledge of related biomechanics and medical terminology.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for accurate and concise presentation.
- Ability to instruct clinical and non-clinical personnel on patient care services.
- Active listening and comprehension skills for analyzing reports and charts.
- Ability to assess patient condition and advise physicians on treatment options.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to build professional relationships.
- Ability to work effectively as a team member.
- Ability to lift patients using biomedical techniques frequently throughout the day.
- Ability to walk, bend, stand, and reach constantly during a work day.
- Visual acuity sufficient to maintain accurate records and recognize people.
- Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand and give directions.
- Ability to push wheeled equipment throughout the facility.
- American Board Certified (ABC) certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics.
- Two to five years experience in providing orthotic services under the supervision of a certified practitioner.
