Responsibilities

  • Business Analysis: Conduct thorough business analysis to identify opportunities for improvement and develop solutions to meet business needs.
  • Population Health Systems: Collaborate in the development and implementation of population health systems dashboards and data exchanges.
  • Interoperability: Work with potential external partners on use case reviews and drive successful delivery on approved use cases that align with the NC HIEA's mission.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Provide subject matter expertise in clinical data and electronic healthcare data, including ADTs and CCDS.
  • Technical Standards: Knowledge of healthcare interoperability technical standards, including HL7, CCDA, and FHIR.
Requirements
  • Strong Business Analysis Skills: 5 years of experience in business analysis, with a strong understanding of business processes and systems.
  • Research Capabilities: Ability to conduct thorough research and analysis to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Electronic Healthcare Data: Experience working with electronic healthcare data, including ADTs and CCDS.
  • Interoperability: Knowledge of healthcare interoperability technical standards, including HL7, CCDA, and FHIR.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Population Health Monitoring: A strong understanding of population health monitoring, with experience working with Admission Discharge and Transfer (ADT) monitoring.
  • Statistical and Analytical Software: Experience with statistical and analytical software, including SAS Visual Studio and SAS Enterprise Guide.
  • Web-Based Applications: Experience working with web-based applications and database management systems.
  • Data ETL Techniques: Experience with data ETL techniques, data verification, quality data management, validation, and business analytics.
  • Healthcare Claims/Encounters Data: Experience working with healthcare claims/encounters data, with Medicaid-specific experience.
