General Overview

The Title IX & Compliance Coordinator is responsible for collaborating with the Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs, Dean of Human Resources, Director of Athletics, and legal advisors to manage the institution's adherence to Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972. This role also encompasses compliance with various laws concerning student pregnancy, parenting, substance use, and regulations addressing sexual harassment, misconduct, and assault, including the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), Title VI, and Title VII. The Coordinator is dedicated to cultivating a secure and supportive atmosphere that promotes respect within academic, professional, and residential settings.

Qualifications

Applicants must possess a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution and a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience, including at least one (1) year of direct involvement with Title IX. A comprehensive understanding of federal and state regulations related to Title IX and sexual misconduct is essential. Experience in developing and delivering educational programs to diverse groups is required. Strong leadership abilities are necessary for assessing and improving operational processes, formulating policies, and creating and executing innovative strategies. A criminal background check will be conducted.
