MNS Engineers Inc. is seeking a skilled Construction Inspector to join their team. As a Construction Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring that construction projects meet the required standards and specifications.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct on-site inspections to verify compliance with contract requirements and applicable permits.
- Advise Resident Engineers or Agency Project Managers on any variances from approved plans and specifications.
- Take samples of materials, prepare test specimens, and assist in conducting field tests or refer samples for laboratory analysis.
- Check the location of public utilities to avoid interference with construction work.
- Assist in reviewing project submittals, RFI's, and CCO's.
- Verify the acceptability of materials incorporated into the project by Certificates of Compliance, shop drawings, and test reports.
- Maintain material and inspection records.
- Maintain a daily diary, photo log, and contract item quantities.
- College degree or minimum 5 years' work experience in a related field.
- Valid California Class C driver's license and an acceptable driver's record are required.
- Certified Public Infrastructure Inspector (CPII) certification.
- ICC Reinforced Concrete Inspection Certification.
- ICC Masonry Inspection Certification.
- ICC Welding Inspection Certification.
- ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician – Grade 1 Certification.
- Qualified SWPPP Certification.
- Fall protection Safety Training.
- First Aid & CPR.
