Job Summary

Hartwick College is seeking qualified instructors to teach various geology and environmental sciences courses. The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in Geology, Geological/Earth Sciences, or a closely related discipline. The position is an adjunct pool, which means that applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis and selected candidates will be contacted as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach Physical Geology, Structural Geology, Petrology, and Planetology courses
  • Potentially teach Forensics Geology and Meteorology courses
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and assessments
  • Provide academic support and guidance to students

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Geology, Geological/Earth Sciences, or a closely related discipline (ABD considered)
  • Excellent teaching and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff

Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $830-1,100 per credit. Hartwick College offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a retirement plan.
