Job Title: Registered Nurse - Nursing Home Surveyor/Complaint Investigator

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a Nursing Home Surveyor and Complaint Investigator. This role involves conducting surveys and investigations to ensure compliance with Federal and State regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in surveys and complaint investigations to determine compliance with Federal and State regulations.
  • Produce written documentation and draft a Statement of Deficiencies (SOD) within the required time frame.
  • Assess compliance with the Plan of Correction within the required time frame.
  • Complete data entry in Federal and State reporting databases as required.
  • Participate in State monitoring during Immediate Jeopardy situations.
  • Attend meetings as required.
  • Testify in administrative hearings as needed.

Requirements:

  • Must have an NYS Registered Nurse license.
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years experience performing utilization review, claims adjudication, medical review, fraud investigation, surveillance, or monitoring activities.
  • OR 3 years of clinical or administrative experience.
  • OR A Bachelor's degree in nursing and 2 years of clinical or administrative experience.
  • SMQT Certification is preferred but should be able to obtain within 12 months of employment.
  • Must have a valid driver's license & the ability to travel to on-site facilities to review assignments.
  • Must have at least one (1) year of survey experience.

  • This is a Contract/Travel position.
