Job Summary:

As a Therapist I at Acadia Healthcare, you will be responsible for providing psychotherapeutic techniques and interventions to individuals and families for the purpose of treating diagnosed emotional and behavioral disorders. Your primary goal will be to develop and implement effective treatment plans, conduct assessments, and maintain accurate documentation of therapy services provided.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply psychotherapeutic techniques and interventions in the delivery of services to individuals and families.
  • Conduct psychosocial assessments and develop initial discharge plans.
  • Provide individual, group, or family sessions as appropriate for the treatment plan of the patient.
  • Maintain documentation of therapy services provided to each patient according to facility and professional standards.
  • Participate in treatment team meetings and collaborate with other staff to facilitate services for the patient.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
  • One or more years' experience working with a comparable patient population.
  • Requisite state or national licensure for professional therapy providers or eligibility for state licensure.

Certifications:

  • CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification.
  • Negative Tuberculosis Test within the past year.
