We are seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Operating Room Nurse to join our team at WellSpan York Hospital. As a CVOR Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our cardiovascular operating rooms.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' medical status upon admission and throughout their course of treatment.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for each assigned patient.
- Assess, plan, and evaluate the nursing care of patients before, during, and after surgical procedures.
- Participate in the sedation of patients and assist physicians during procedures by administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and applying dressings.
- Ensure that sterile procedures are followed throughout the course of surgery, necessary equipment and medications are available for the operating room team, and record progress and outcomes of surgical procedures.
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing, with current licensure in good standing.
- Evidence of current AHA BLS and ACLS preferred, not required.
- Evidence of current one year of CVOR experience.
