About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Thermal Test Engineer to join our team at Blue Origin, where you will play a critical role in the development of our lunar spacecraft. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, testing, and validating the thermal systems of our spacecraft, ensuring they meet the highest standards of safety and performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop thermal test plans and procedures for our lunar spacecraft
  • Conduct thermal testing and validation of spacecraft components and systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure thermal system design meets performance and safety requirements
  • Develop and maintain thermal test equipment and facilities
  • Analyze and interpret test data to identify areas for improvement
  • Develop and implement corrective actions to address thermal system issues
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in thermal testing and validation of spacecraft components and systems
  • Strong understanding of thermal analysis and testing principles
  • Experience with thermal test equipment and facilities
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • Experience with human-rated programs
  • Knowledge of heat transfer fundamentals in space environment
  • Experience with cryogenic testing, pressurized equipment, and vacuum systems
  • Proficiency in LabView, Python, MATLAB
