Senior Loads Analysis Engineer

Qualifications and Experience:
Assist in the development and validation of load event simulation models for suborbital missions and other unique configurations.
Support pre-launch activities, including the assessment of test constraints, evaluation of flight test plans and procedures, readiness reviews, mission control support, and post-mission analysis.
Collaborate with various engineering teams to ensure the correct application of design and load specifications.
Generate airframe and component load data for structural design and qualification (both Static and Dynamic).
Facilitate the transition into commercial operations by ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
Create standardized analysis and reporting tools.
Update models based on data gathered during vehicle or component testing and analytical tool outputs.
Establish and justify rational load criteria and requirements for distinctive vehicles with unconventional designs.
Provide technical leadership in loads across the engineering organization.
Enhance loads standards, processes, and best practices.
Develop technical roadmaps, concepts, and strategies that define the strategic direction related to loads.
Lead the design or analysis of innovative products, systems, or processes.
Facilitate effective cross-functional teams to address complex challenges and support the success of others.
Guide projects, peers, and teams in making engineering decisions and recommendations.
Organize and plan work while establishing standards for the team to fulfill requirements.
Honor commitments and execute plans effectively.
Actively mentor and coach team members.
Other Requirements:
A minimum of 14 years of experience in external loads with a B.S. in engineering, or 12 years with an M.S. in engineering, or 9 years with a Ph.D. in engineering.
Experience in in-flight test aerodynamic and load model validation and correlation.
Extensive knowledge of aircraft and spacecraft systems.
Experience with flight dynamics and 6DOF trajectory simulation.
Familiarity with relevant aerospace standards and structural design criteria (FAA, FAA-AST, NASA, MilSpec, etc.).
Advanced Programming Skills:
Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, C, C++, FORTRAN, Simulink; including software development best practices such as code review and configuration management.
Experience with CATIA V5 and NASTRAN.
Advise senior leadership on complex, multifaceted business aspects with technological and cross-organizational implications.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
Strong communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and organizational skills.
Build robust business relationships with key stakeholders to secure active support.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in test planning, including flight and ground testing, writing test plans, selecting instrumentation, and data verification.
Experience with comprehensive aircraft analysis – transonic required, and launch vehicle & supersonic test execution experience, including familiarity with standard flight test practices and safety protocols.

Paid Holidays:
All full-time employees will receive 8 paid holidays per year. Full-time non-exempt employees receive an additional floater holiday each year.
Paid Sick Time:
All full-time and part-time employees will receive 40 sick hours per year or the minimum sick time required by state law.
