Job Title: Wedding Banquet Captain

Branzak Enterprises is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Wedding Banquet Captain to join our team at Bear Brook Valley, a luxury NJ wedding venue.

Job Summary:

The Wedding Banquet Captain will be responsible for ensuring that guests have a pleasant and memorable wedding experience. This individual will supervise and train the waitstaff to Bear Brook Valley's standards of excellence by enforcing rules and policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain open communication with the event coordinator and assist with day-of responsibilities.
  • Inspect the ballroom, table settings, chairs, and floors prior to guest arrival.
  • Receive and greet members and guests; assist with seating.
  • Wait on the tables of honor and ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Create weekly schedules and assignments for the waitstaff team.
  • Enforce rules, regulations, and policies to the internal waitstaff team.
  • Supervise the dining room staff and maintain uniform service standards.
  • Ensure side work is completed daily and dining room supplies are stocked.
  • Train new-hires in service standards and menu items.
  • Coordinate food service between the kitchen and service staff.
  • Direct and assist in ballroom set up and break down.
Requirements:

A collaborative personality and can-do attitude are essential for success in this position. Having a background in customer service and leadership is preferred, but not necessary. If you have the personality, drive, and creativity to flourish in this role, we are willing to train applicants for success.

Benefits:

Full-Time & Part-Time hours available. We prefer to fill this position with a full-time candidate, but we can be flexible for the right candidate. Shifts are primarily in the evening. Health & dental benefits available for full-time candidates.

Compensation:

Hourly Pay: ranging $17.50 to $20.00 per hour starting (+ optional gratuity)
