Key Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will deliver technical mechanical engineering expertise to support the ES62 Space Station Carbon Dioxide (CO2) Removal, Advanced Exploration Systems (AES) Life Support Systems (LSS), and ES62 International Space Station (ISS) Environmental Control Life Support System (ECLSS) Sustaining Engineering. Support includes, but is not limited to: software design, development, troubleshooting, and documentation using LABVIEW.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
A degree in chemical or mechanical engineering or a related technical field is essential. A degree from an ABET-accredited institution is preferred. Typically, educational qualifications equate to a Master's degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience, or a Bachelor's degree with at least 10 years of experience.
Essential Skills:
- Certification in LABVIEW Programming.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in programming systems using LABVIEW.
- At least 2 years of experience with thermal/fluid components, systems, and related instrumentation.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with gaseous and liquid fluid flow systems.
- Understanding of Aerospace flight system component testing.
