Key Responsibilities- Provide a high level of customer service to members, answering product inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Process member purchases, including liquor, lottery, and tobacco sales, in a timely and efficient manner.
- Scan merchandise through a point-of-sale system to ensure accurate inventory counts and accurate purchase totals for members.
- Collect payments via cash, check, or other charge payments from members, issuing receipts and change due to members.
- Run lottery machines and sell scratch-off tickets, processing and collecting payment for lottery ticket sales.
- Adhere to state liquor, lottery, and tobacco laws and age requirements.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the register area and liquor store, assisting in general club housekeeping when necessary.
- Recover/pull forward merchandise throughout the day, stocking shelves from pallets or lay down articles as needed.
- Conduct daily inventory counts according to asset protection guidelines and place asset protection devices on high shrink merchandise as needed.
- Maintain all club policies and procedures.
- Basic math skills preferred.
- Prior cashier experience preferred.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Successful completion of all required training and/or certifications.
The Liquor Store Sales Associate will work in a comfortable indoor area with infrequent exposure to temperature extremes and loud noises. There may be occasional exposure to cleaning agents.
CompensationThe pay range for this position is starting from $15.25. At BJ's Wholesale Club, we carefully consider a wide range of non-discriminatory factors when determining salary. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications.
