Position Overview
This role involves providing comprehensive clinical care to patients residing in various long-term care settings, including nursing homes and assisted living facilities. You will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating conditions related to the foot and lower extremities, particularly in high-risk populations such as the elderly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver clinical services to patients in long-term care environments.
  • Evaluate and manage abnormalities and diseases affecting the foot and lower limb.
  • Implement treatment plans for vulnerable patient groups.
  • Utilize specialized diabetic footwear and insoles to prevent complications.
  • Educate patients on foot health and preventive care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Engage in quality measure programs mandated by Medicare to ensure top-tier care.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree and completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in podiatry preferred.
  • Experience in long-term care or nursing home settings is advantageous.
  • Current RN license and certification as a Nurse Practitioner required.
  • BLS certification upon hire; ACLS preferred.
