We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Telemetry team at Ascension Oakland. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Direct Patient Care: Implement and monitor patient care plans, monitor and record patient condition, and communicate with the healthcare team as needed.
  • Coordinate Patient Care: Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care, assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
  • Manage Patient Medications: Note and carry out physician and nursing orders, and manage cardiac medications as needed.
Requirements
  • Licensure and Certification: Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing, BLS Provider obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Education: Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing or required professional licensure at time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience in telemetry, stepdown or critical care setting, with a preference for candidates with experience in a cardiac care setting.
  • Skills: Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, recognizing and responding to cardiac rhythms and emergencies, and managing cardiac medications.
