Role Summary: The Aviation Logistics Planner plays a crucial role in supporting the mission of the Deputy Under Secretary of the Air Force, International Affairs (SAF/IA). This position is focused on developing effective solutions for international logistics planning and execution challenges that affect the U.S. Government and our allied nations in the context of Foreign Military Sales (FMS).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize extensive knowledge of aviation logistics to thoroughly analyze complex logistics challenges and propose innovative solutions.
  • Implement creative strategies for various logistics planning and execution issues, providing comprehensive recommendations that enhance Security Assistance logistics.
  • Tackle demanding challenges in the field, including the integration of technology to optimize logistics processes, improve system-wide efficiencies, and devise concepts that minimize total ownership costs for the customer.
  • Collaborate effectively on specific weapons system issues as well as broader system-wide initiatives.
  • Conduct in-depth analyses related to logistics, supportability, reliability, maintainability, and operational factors, offering tailored recommendations for optimizing logistics requirements in support of aircraft, weapon systems, and training or support equipment programs.

Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree from an accredited institution, along with over ten (10) years of relevant experience in fields such as FMS, logistics, program management, or technical/business analysis related to acquisition and life cycle management.
  • Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a master's or bachelor's degree.
  • Active Secret or Interim Secret clearance is mandatory.
  • This position is contingent upon funding availability.

Salary Information: The anticipated salary range for this position is $121,000 - $135,000. This range is not a guarantee of compensation, as salary will be determined based on experience, geographic location, and contractual requirements.
