Nova Biomedical is seeking a skilled Chemical Filling Specialist to join our team in our Waltham, MA facility. As a Chemical Filling Specialist, you will be responsible for performing filling, sealing, and labeling of various reagents in accordance with written and verbal instructions.
Key Responsibilities- Set up and operate filling equipment, including loading and unloading product, and ensuring proper filling, sealing, and labeling.
- Document all pertinent information related to filling operations, including recording and maintaining accurate logs.
- Maintain a clean and organized filling area, including daily cleaning and periodic maintenance of equipment.
- Perform tasks that require standing, sitting, pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting, turning, climbing steps, and carrying up to 40 pounds.
- Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required, including safety glasses, safety shoes, lab coat, bouffant, gloves, hearing protection, face shield, nuisance mask, and cartridge type respirator.
- Read and write English and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Perform basic math and counting.
- Basic mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work with hand tools and gauges to operate bottle/pouch fillers, cappers, induction sealers, inkjets, labelers, and other related equipment.
- Ability to work as part of a team or individually.
- Basic knowledge of hazardous waste handling.
- Related experience in an automated pouch, bottle, or comparable filling operation.
- Related experience in a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environment.
