Work Schedule:
7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, 36 hours per week
Sign-On Bonus:
Available for eligible candidates
Key Responsibilities:
1. Patient Safety:
Ensure the delivery of safe and effective care by adhering to best practices during patient handoffs and communications. Seek assistance from colleagues when necessary.
2. Clinical Assessments:
Conduct thorough assessments of patients and document findings accurately. Recognize and respond to abnormal diagnostic data, reporting to the appropriate healthcare provider.
3. Caring & Professional Conduct:
Maintain a professional demeanor while fostering positive relationships with patients, families, and team members. Treat all individuals with respect and dignity.
4. Critical Thinking:
Utilize theoretical knowledge to inform clinical decisions and patient care.
5. Documentation:
Ensure all documentation is accurate and complies with hospital and regulatory standards.
6. Population-Specific Competency:
Complete mandatory education and training relevant to the specific patient population served.
7. Evidence-Based Practice:
Engage in practices consistent with Northern Light Health policies, demonstrating awareness of current evidence-based guidelines.
8. Leadership and Teamwork:
Exhibit effective time management and flexibility to meet the needs of the unit. Communicate changes in patient conditions to ensure optimal care delivery.
Qualifications:
- Required: Registered Nurse License
- Required: Basic Life Support Certification
- Preferred: 2 years of experience in an Operating Room setting
Working Conditions:
Physical demands include lifting and moving patients, with the ability to handle various shift schedules. The role requires adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced environment.
Professional Development:
Commit to ongoing education and competency development to enhance nursing skills and knowledge. Participate in peer review processes and maintain an up-to-date educational file.
