Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory developments, assessing their implications for our insurance products.
  • Identify necessary adjustments to policy and form language to align with new requirements; implement changes to rates, rules, and forms to meet statutory obligations.
  • Collaborate with actuaries on rate modifications for designated business lines, ensuring effective communication of changes to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage a minimum of two lines of business, conducting thorough research on emerging coverage and risk exposures to safeguard the interests of the company and its clients.
  • Oversee the creation and management of state filings for assigned business lines.
  • Engage in testing and auditing processes for assigned lines of business before and after implementation.
  • Make informed decisions on routine matters and proactively identify challenges, proposing viable solutions.
  • Break down moderately complex issues into manageable components, prioritizing effectively.
  • Utilize expertise and available resources to develop innovative solutions.
  • Explore and evaluate new product concepts, enhancements, or strategic extensions of existing offerings.
  • Uphold our customer experience standards by responding promptly, maintaining a positive demeanor, and ensuring resolution of customer inquiries.
  • Maintain regular communication with internal teams, such as underwriting, and occasionally liaise with external clients.
  • Contribute to special projects and undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Proficient in translating legal terminology into accessible policy language.
  • Experience in reviewing and filing personal and commercial lines product forms at the state level.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with internal and external clients.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
  • Demonstrated capability to organize and execute work independently.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience; coursework towards CPCU or other insurance designations is preferred.
  • Familiarity with core systems, office equipment, and software applications.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with the System for Electronic Rate and Form Filing (SERFF) and relevant bureau websites.
