Job SummaryDarling Ingredients Inc. is seeking a skilled Deadstock Driver to join our team. As a Deadstock Driver, you will be responsible for collecting dead hogs, cattle, and meat scraps from farm sites on a daily route.
Key Responsibilities- Collect dead hogs, cattle, and meat scraps from farm sites on a daily route
- Manage your route with an onboard computer (OBC) and keep an up-to-date paper log for compliance purposes
- Take responsibility for your truck, keeping it clean and completing a vehicle condition report on a daily basis
- Provide exceptional professional service to all customers while following all laws and regulations
- Must be 21 years of age
- Good driving record
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Must possess a valid Class A or B CDL driver's license
- Prior route experience within a customer-oriented environment preferred
- Experience with truck hydraulics a plus
- Communicates clearly in verbal and written form
- Highly organized; superior time management skills
- Ability to maintain composure in difficult situations; adaptable to changing situations
- Ability to work well with internal staff and external customers
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers
- Must be able to handle outside elements, summer heat and winter cold
- Constantly required to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch
- Frequently required to sit for extended periods
- Regularly required reach with hands and arms
- Occasionally push, pull, up to 100 lbs
- Frequently must push, pull, move or lift up to 75 lbs repeatedly
