About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Environmental Technician to join our team at Clean Harbors in Cofield, NC. As an Environmental Technician, you will be responsible for performing tasks associated with hazardous waste clean-up, site-remediation, equipment decontamination, and handling of hazardous materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate manual and automated hydroblasting equipment to ensure effective cleaning and decontamination of equipment and surfaces.
  • Conduct routine and required maintenance on company equipment, including industrial vacuuming and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
  • Examine surfaces cleaned to ensure conformance to company and customer expectations.
  • Perform physical functions per job requirements, including heavy lifting and working with large machinery.
Work Environment

As an Environmental Technician, you will work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with regular overnight travel required for this position. You will be exposed to extreme temperatures, noisy conditions, and shift work, with flexible schedules and on-call hours.

Qualifications
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are preferred.
  • Ability to perform physical functions per job requirements, including heavy lifting and working with large machinery.
  • Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical, by position.
