Job Summary:

The Gymnastics Instructor will teach PreTeam classes and serve as the Primary Coach for Level 3 Gymnasts. Additional recreational gymnastics classes may be taught. The ideal candidate will have some gymnastics experience and be able to teach skills essential to the development and growth of gymnasts' abilities and progress.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Instruct gymnastics lessons in accordance with PDHP's gymnastics curriculum.
  • Teach skills essential to the development and growth of gymnasts' abilities and progress.
  • Understand skill levels and teach in a progressive and safe manner.
  • Attend all informational staff meetings.
  • Possess knowledge of gymnastics skills and progressions and proper apparatus execution.
  • Perform other Park District-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Less than high school education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Schedule:

Evenings Monday thru Thursday during the months of September - May. Occasional weekend hours are required during January-April for gymnastics meets.
