ROLE OVERVIEW
The Electrical Engineer will prepare and review technical designs and templates for our Renewable Energy Team. This position necessitates a solid understanding of NEC Code, solar technology, battery storage, and various power generation and utility interconnection electrical engineering principles.

The ideal candidate will be a licensed electrical engineer who collaborates with a team to assess and develop designs by applying engineering principles and current industry standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop technical designs and templates for renewable energy projects.
  • Conduct due diligence and provide interpretations of existing designs.
  • Prepare basis of design analyses and reviews.
  • Collaborate with other technical disciplines.
  • Create engineering design and construction documentation.
  • Enhance Electrical Engineering design processes through teamwork.
  • Travel for site inspections, evaluations, and feasibility analyses.
  • Participate in project-related meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in interpreting, designing, and preparing Electrical Engineering documentation, including:
    • NEC Code
    • Solar energy systems
    • Battery storage solutions
    • EV charging infrastructure
    • Utility interconnections for Distributed Generation (both Behind and Front of the Meter); utility-scale experience is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in software tools such as AutoCAD, ETAP, MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Project.

MODELING SOFTWARE
Experience with PVSYST, Helioscope, and other engineering design software is preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English. Must be able to communicate effectively in person and over the phone. Visual acuity sufficient to perform job duties, including reading from printed sources and computer screens. Requires frequent bending, reaching, standing, walking, sitting, pushing, and pulling throughout the work shift. Ability to climb ladders is necessary.

COMPENSATION
Salary range: $100,000 to $135,000, based on various factors including skills, experience, and organizational needs.
