Strategic Talent Acquisition Specialist

The Five Star is seeking a highly skilled Recruiting & HR Specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for developing and maintaining long-term working relationships with hiring managers and senior management to understand key business issues that may impact current and future staffing needs.
- Develop and implement comprehensive interviewing and assessment processes for all roles.
- Source leads and screen candidates to develop a pool of talent for open positions.
- Establish strong relationships with candidates to ensure a positive recruiting experience.
- Provide recruitment updates and remain informed of industry trends and best practices.
- Recruit and interview potential applicants, and update job requirements as needed.
- Contact applicants' references and perform background checks required by the company.
- Maintain relevant background and certification compliance for various Membership Programs.
- Organize and manage new employee orientation, on-boarding, and training programs.
HR Responsibilities
- Explain and provide information on employee benefits, programs, and education.
- Advise on benefits needs and maintain employee records and paperwork.
- Cover all legal compliance for human resource federal and state requirements.
- Maintain a robust employee development and review program.
- Coordinate and manage employee and department development targets.
- Process Company payroll with a third-party payroll provider.
- Represent the employer in the community and recruiting events.
- Answer employee questions and address employee concerns.
- Manage committees on wellness, training, health, and safety, culture, and communications.
- Manage employee compensation plans and drive semi-annual performance reviews.
- Assist with exit interviews and track trends, and maintain turnover reports and analysis.
- Compile ad-hoc reports as needed.
- Create and maintain employee recognition and reward programs.
- Develop a monthly calendar and assist with developing a Company newsletter.
- Assist the Executive Team with administrative support.
