Job Summary:

Festival Foods is seeking a skilled Cashier and Customer Service Specialist to provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive shopping experience for our guests. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for engaging with customers, processing transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, providing assistance and answering questions to ensure a positive shopping experience.
  • Transaction Processing: Accurately process sales transactions, handle monetary transactions, and maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
  • Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the checkout area, aisles, and stockroom.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with customers, colleagues, and management to ensure seamless operations and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Quality Standards: Meet or exceed quality and quantity standards, including maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction and ensuring accurate transactions.

Requirements:

  • Customer Service Skills: Ability to engage with customers and provide outstanding service.
  • Retail Experience: Ability to process information and merchandise transactions, handle cash and media at registers.
  • Communication: Strong ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Accuracy: Ability to read, count, and write accurately to ensure precise transactions.
  • Equipment Operation: Ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform the job.

Work Environment:

The Cashier and Customer Service Specialist position requires the ability to stand for extended periods, walk in the store, bend, stoop, and kneel regularly. The associate must also possess fine finger and broad manual dexterity, and eye-hand-foot coordination to operate equipment. Physical ability to stand for extended periods and to move and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures throughout the store, which entails lifting, and perform all functions as set forth above.
