Job Title: School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Phaxis is seeking a dedicated and qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide services to students in grades PreK-12.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify communication disorders in students.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and therapy plans tailored to students' needs.
  • Provide individual and group therapy addressing areas such as articulation, fluency, voice, language comprehension, and social communication.
  • Collaborate with educators, special education personnel, and administrators to support students in both general and special education settings.
  • Monitor student progress, adjust goals and treatment plans as necessary, and document all changes.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and communicate progress and recommendations to parents and caregivers.
  • Stay informed of best practices in speech-language pathology and apply them in therapy sessions.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
  • Provide training to teachers and staff on speech-language issues and strategies for supporting students in the classroom.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Valid Ohio SLP license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Previous experience in a school setting preferred.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
