Special Education Teacher

Phaxis is seeking a dedicated and qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide services to students in grades PreK-12.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify communication disorders in students.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and therapy plans tailored to students' needs.
- Provide individual and group therapy addressing areas such as articulation, fluency, voice, language comprehension, and social communication.
- Collaborate with educators, special education personnel, and administrators to support students in both general and special education settings.
- Monitor student progress, adjust goals and treatment plans as necessary, and document all changes.
- Participate in IEP meetings and communicate progress and recommendations to parents and caregivers.
- Stay informed of best practices in speech-language pathology and apply them in therapy sessions.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
- Provide training to teachers and staff on speech-language issues and strategies for supporting students in the classroom.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid Ohio SLP license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
