Job Summary

At Intermountain Health, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Services Technician PRN to join our team. As an Environmental Services Technician PRN, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our patients, families, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Disinfecting: Clean and disinfect assigned areas using department cleaning procedures, adhering to Joint Commission and OSHA standards.
  • Chemical Handling: Use cleaning chemicals properly according to established procedures and guidelines.
  • Waste Disposal: Understand and properly dispose of infectious waste and trash, following established protocols.
  • Emergency Response: Handle and clean up emergency spills according to department guidelines and Joint Commission and OSHA standards.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Operate and maintain assigned equipment according to established procedures.
  • Work Area Maintenance: Maintain work and storage areas following established policy and procedures to ensure safety.
  • Supply Management: Use supplies appropriately and effectively.
  • Reporting: Report problems with equipment and facility in an appropriate and timely manner.
Requirements
  • Communication Skills: Demonstrated communication skills, including reading color-coded labels and chemicals, and following written and verbal directions.
  • Flexibility: Availability to work a flexible work schedule to meet the needs of the department.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Professional housekeeping experience.
