Job Summary

The Speech Language Pathologist will provide comprehensive evaluation, treatment, and supervision of patients with communication, cognitive processing, and swallowing difficulties. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients for rehabilitation services and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Treat patients according to the treatment plan of care and communicate progress, problems, and plans with healthcare teams.
  • Participate in care conferences, interdisciplinary team meetings, and in-service training programs for facility staff.
  • Record evaluations, treatment notes, progress notes, and provide objective input for discharge summaries.
  • Instruct patients' families or nursing staff in maintenance programs and participate in discharge planning.
  • Achieve or exceed minimum productivity standards and recommend equipment to facilitate improved delivery of clinical services.
  • Act as a clinical supervisor for affiliating Speech Language Pathology graduate clinicians and comply with state-specific Speech Pathology licensure standards.
  • Maintain an organized working environment and consistently portray the mission, vision, core values, and professional image of Concept Rehab.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Certified by American Speech Language Hearing Association
  • Licensed in the state(s) where services are provided to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist
