Position Overview

The Seed Quality Assurance Lead plays a pivotal role in ensuring the excellence of seed products at Remington Seeds LLC. This position is essential in maintaining high standards of quality that satisfy our customers' expectations. Key responsibilities include:

  • Bulk Seed Sample Processing: Analyze bulk seed samples to predict sizing and conversion rates.
  • Visual Quality Inspection: Conduct thorough inspections of finished seed lots to verify their appearance meets quality standards.
  • Quality Lab Analysis: Prepare and submit samples for laboratory quality assessments.
  • Collaboration with Warehouse Staff: Coordinate with warehouse teams to manage carryover seed in accordance with customer specifications.
  • Quality Monitoring: Oversee finished crop quality results and proactively address any issues with location management.
  • Inventory Management: Initiate and manage the "SEED ON HOLD" status within warehouse and inventory systems.
  • Workplace Organization: Ensure a tidy, clean, and organized workspace.
Qualifications
  • A background in agriculture is advantageous.
  • Proficient computer skills are necessary; advanced capabilities are preferred.
  • A solid understanding of seed production or a minimum of four years of relevant experience is required.
  • Exceptional communication skills and a positive demeanor are essential.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy are critical.
