Job Title: CNC Programmers

CNC Programmers play a crucial role in Valmont Industries, Inc., a Fortune 1000 company. The position operates various pieces of equipment to drill predetermined sized and patterns into steel plates and parts using automated gang drills, drill presses, and plasma drills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operator programs the automatic operation and verifies dimensions from shop drawings.
  • Observes operation and periodically verifies conformance of machined work to process sheet, specifications, and blueprint data.
  • Actively participate in department safety, demonstrate excellent safety practices and behaviors which conform to all Valmont safety policies and procedures.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of 3 years experience of CNC set-up and programming experience in a heavy manufacturing environment is desired or graduation from an accredited trade school with 1 year of experience.
  • A thorough knowledge of drilling procedures and practices are essential to ensure the quality of the product.
  • Ability to read and decipher blue prints without assistance and use them to properly lay out and drill shop projects.
