Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Men's Soccer Coach to join our team at Lycoming College. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Head Coach in all aspects of the men's soccer program, including coaching, recruiting, and administrative duties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coaching: Assist in the development and implementation of practice plans, conditioning programs, and game strategies. Instruct student-athletes in sound principles and expert skills related to men's soccer, and prepare individual athletes and teams for games.
  • Recruiting: Recruit student-athletes who meet the College's admission requirements and possess the potential to contribute to the team. Develop and implement an annual recruitment plan that outlines the coach's efforts to recruit student-athletes who meet the specific needs of the program.
  • Fundraising: Participate in fundraising efforts through the Warrior Club program and fundraising accounts. Adhere to College policies and NCAA legislation regarding fundraising.
  • Administrative Duties: Assist the Head Coach in administrative tasks, including communication with student-athletes, parents, and alumni. Maintain accurate records and reports as required by the College and NCAA.
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree and collegiate playing and/or coaching experience.
  • Cultural competence and effective communication skills.
  • Self-motivation and the ability to recruit, teach, and coach highly talented student-athletes who can succeed in a challenging academic environment.
  • Experience with using video breakdown, analysis, and analytics to improve team performance.
