The Scientist/Chemist I plays a crucial role in our laboratory team, responsible for conducting supervised laboratory responsibilities, including equipment operation and maintenance, data collection and review, and sample preparation and analysis.
Key Responsibilities- Assist and perform laboratory analyses, ensuring accuracy and quality of results.
- Prepare and process samples for analysis, maintaining proper tracking and documentation.
- Conduct regular maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment, reporting any issues or needs to management.
- Compile and submit reports, adhering to Quality Assurance and Quality Control requirements.
- Collect, package, and store samples, chemicals, and reagents, ensuring proper disposal and waste management.
To succeed in this role, you must possess a 4-year scientific/technical degree from an accredited college or university in chemistry, biology, physics, geology, or a related field. Relevant experience may be substituted for education.
