About the Role

The Building and Engineering Coordinator (Program Coordinator III) leads and manages a team providing administrative and programmatic support to the Division of Occupational Licensure's Office of Public Safety and Inspections' Building and Engineering Division. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting and supervising Office Support Specialists
  • Overseeing customer inquiries and responses
  • Managing data entry and inputting building documents into the IPS system
  • Coordinating and supporting customers, state building inspectors, and supervisors with building permit applications and related tasks
Key Responsibilities

The Building and Engineering Coordinator will:

  • Assist with assigning and scheduling building inspections
  • Ensure timely review of applications for accuracy and completeness
  • Confirm issuance of permits and certificates of inspection
  • Manage the ongoing permit process, including timely updates to permit information
  • Support the manager of the Manufactured Buildings Program
Preferred Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Administrative experience in the construction, engineering, or architecture industry
  • Experience working with large groups of offsite employees
