Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Pipe Welder to join our team at Tradesmen International, Inc. As a Pipe Welder, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling pipes and pipe fittings using various welding techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation and Fabrication: Prepare pipe fittings and pipe ends for full penetration welds on pipe assemblies.
- Reading and Interpretation: Read and interpret drawings, engineering sketches, and blueprints to ensure accurate fabrication.
- Welding Techniques: Perform GTA welds on carbon steel, stainless steel, and duplex stainless steel.
- Measurement and Calculation: Calculate pipe fitting take-outs on piping measurements.
- Welding Operations: Weld pipe diameters ranging from 1/2 to 36 inches in all positions.
- Equipment Operation: Operate a high-frequency amperage control foot pedal while welding.
- Structural Steel Welding: Weld structural steel in all positions.
- Other Tasks: Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in MIG and carbon welding.
- Welding Tests: Must pass various weld tests.
- Background Check and Drug Screen: Passing of background check and drug screen.
- Personal Protective Equipment: Must have hood rod and PPE.
- Confined Spaces: Must be able to work in confined spaces.
