We are seeking a highly skilled BIW Design Engineer to join our team at Intellectt Inc.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and experience in designing high-volume body-in-white (BIW) designs.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and developing sheet metal parts, such as floor pans, engine compartments, and side walls, using CATIA V6.
  • Collaborating with automotive OEM design engineers to drive design projects and optimize cost, mass, joining methods, formability, and performance.
  • Interpreting CAE simulation results and integrating recommendations into product design.
  • Working with key BIW system and sheet metal component suppliers to support overall vehicle development milestones and prototype/production build events.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of design for manufacturing principles, including GD&T and dimensional engineering.

They will also possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and be able to drive a team of offshore engineers.
