Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Superintendent to join our team at Archer Daniels Midland Company. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal condition of our facilities and equipment to maximize production uptime and minimize maintenance costs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement asset management strategies to optimize maintenance and reliability activities
  • Lead and support root-cause analysis processes to identify and resolve equipment failures
  • Develop and analyze maintenance and reliability metrics to measure performance and identify areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with production leadership to train operations personnel on equipment operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
  • Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate maintenance activities to ensure alignment with production schedules
  • Implement and maintain effective equipment history, work history, and preventative maintenance programs using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Manage ongoing maintenance and reliability projects to improve asset reliability and defect elimination
  • Lead and develop a team of maintenance personnel, providing coaching, training, and feedback to ensure their growth and success
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures, and support production department in areas of safety and quality
  • Define project scope and plan for delivery, execute projects, and monitor results to ensure budget and quality targets are met
Requirements
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in industrial maintenance management
  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues at various levels of the organization
  • Strong ability to install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and rotating equipment
  • Ability to use and train employees on the use of predictive and preventive maintenance tools and software
  • Ability to train and mentor employees on improving their mechanical skills and teaching safe work practices
  • Ability to use computers and various types of software for purchasing, shipping, and receiving, inventory control, scheduling, recordkeeping, and communications
  • Ability to research problems and understand diagrams, and written and oral instructions
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., walk long distances, stand for long periods, climb stairs and ladders, work at heights, work inside of confined spaces, bending, kneeling, working with tools, and work in extreme temperature conditions
