We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiovascular Surgery ICU RN to join our team at the Cleveland Clinic. As a critical care nurse, you will provide direct patient care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.
Key Responsibilities- Implement and monitor patient care plans to ensure effective and timely care.
- Monitor and document patient's condition, including vital signs, medication administration, and treatment outcomes.
- Evaluate and update patient care plans to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomes.
- Coordinate patient care with members of the healthcare team, including physicians, therapists, and other nurses.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing protocol.
- Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
- Provide teaching and educational material to patients and families as appropriate.
- Validate and document patient and family understanding of teaching.
- Minimum one year current acute care RN experience in a hospital setting required for acute care settings.
- Minimum one year current acute care RN experience and/or skilled nursing facility (SNF) experience required for SNF care settings.
- Minimum one year current acute care RN experience and/or rehab experience required for rehab care settings.
- Minimum one year current acute care RN experience and/or Emergency Department (ED) experience required for ED settings.
Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
