Job Title: Regional Retirement Consultant

As a Regional Retirement Consultant at Invesco, you will play a critical role in developing and maintaining Defined Contribution Investment Only (DCIO) business on various retirement platforms. You will work closely with our external sales team to serve as the primary internal sales resource for both prospecting and running existing client relationships in the channel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with external Senior Retirement Consultants in multiple regions to develop and prospect new relationships with financial advisors
  • Conduct consultative, relationship-building sales calls with clients to follow up on proposed investment only business
  • Develop and implement sales plan strategies with a focus on prospecting new business
  • Discuss fund objectives and financial markets specifically as they pertain to retirement plans
  • Identify sales opportunities and advisor needs, cross-sell ideas, and introduce new concepts
  • Develop asset allocation strategies based on client objectives and risk tolerances
  • Act as a Defined Contribution subject matter authority and resource for colleagues in other distribution channels
  • Handle daily administrative tasks to ensure maximum business efficiency
  • Travel as needed within territory to conduct meetings with clients, assist with client events, and attend industry conferences
Requirements:
  • 2-5 years of sales experience in financial services preferred
  • College degree preferred (MBA, CFA, CFP, & CIMA a plus)
  • Retirement Certifications (CRPS, CRPC, QPFC, AIF, etc) a plus
  • FINRA Series 7 and 63 required for role; we will sponsor and train
  • A current understanding of (or strong desire to learn) the capital markets and various investment vehicles; knowledge of qualified and non-qualified retirement plans (e.g. 401k, Safe Harbor, Profit Sharing, Cross Tested Profit Sharing, Money Purchase, ERISA 403b, 457 and Defined Benefit plans) strongly preferred
  • Licenses must be obtained within 90 days of hire
