Key Responsibilities- Curriculum Development: Design and adopt curriculums that expand developmental competencies based on child assessment data and school readiness goals.
- Classroom Supervision: Maintain a safe and inclusive environment by monitoring daily activities, identifying needs for special family support and services.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Complete timely and accurate documentation of family/child records and portfolios.
- Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct and oversee formal classroom observations and assessments; create action plans for program improvements.
- Professional Development: Collaborate with the Center Manager on professional development plans for teaching staff.
- Family Engagement: Conduct parent-teacher conferences, home visits, case conferences, multi-disciplinary meetings, and direct resource referrals.
- Modeling and Teaching: Model and teach children to appropriate social skills, health, and hygiene practices.
- Education: CA Teacher Permit, AA Degree in ECE/CD or AA Degree in Social Science with 24 ECE/CD units.
- Experience: 2 years of teaching experience, 2 years of teaching experience with young children.
- Skills: Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds, bilingual in English/Chinese or English/Spanish is a plus.
- Employment Requirements: Healthcare/vulnerable client employer, verified COVID vaccination required.
- Salary: A competitive salary starting at $43.30/hour, with a temporary hourly rate adjustment of $4.80/hour for staff who have successfully completed Wu Yee's 90-day introductory period.
- Benefits: Fully paid employee health, dental, and vision, 403b with matching contribution after 1 year, wellness program stipend of $250.00/month, 13 holidays, 10 days vacation, and paid sick leave.
