Job SummaryThe Process Improvement Analyst will collaborate with Accreditation Service staff and other clinical operations staff to analyze data, trends, and staff operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with development and implementation of regulatory education for UMC staff
- Abstract data for analysis, observe and report on trends, create corrective action plans to achieve strategic plans and goals
- Work collaboratively with assigned departments on specific metrics
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare or related field
- +2 years previous quality improvement, analytics, and/or informatics experience, preferably in a hospital setting
- Performance Improvement Certification required or able to obtain within 12 months of hire into the role
- RN or LVN licensure from the State of Texas Board of Nursing or recognized compact state license, preferred
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Exercise independent judgement and able to make independent decisions
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbally
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office Suite products, including spreadsheet applications
This position requires interaction with Director level staff, physicians, and other nursing and medical staff throughout the hospital
Physical CapabilitiesLight lifting, frequent walking and sitting, hearing and clear speech patterns are necessary, as frequent communication is involved
Environmental Working ConditionsExposure to blood borne pathogens, infectious organisms, agents and toxic chemicals is high
