GENERAL FUNCTION

The Associate Optometrist plays a pivotal role within the organization, upholding the brand's promise and achieving key results through effective collaboration and teamwork. This position ensures that all patients receive top-tier Optometric care by adhering to clinical protocols while fostering growth through strong partnerships with management and team members.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensures operational excellence and successful outcomes in collaboration with management and store personnel.

  • Establishes the brand as the premier optical provider within the community.
  • Acts as a key stakeholder to all leaders within the organization and local market.
  • Prioritizes patient/customer satisfaction and delivers exceptional service.
  • Aims to exceed expectations on all performance indicators.
  • Commits to providing unparalleled Patient Service by ensuring staff adheres to the following service protocols:
    • Address all patients/customers' visual lifestyle requirements.
    • Recommend eyewear tailored to patients/customers' needs.
    • Clearly explain each step of the eye examination process; actively listen to patients/customers.
    • Utilize available tools and visual aids to summarize and ensure patients comprehend each aspect of their vision, eye health, and overall well-being.
    • Effectively communicate the necessity for annual eye examinations to patients, ensuring appointments are scheduled.
    • Conduct all services in alignment with established protocols and accepted standards of care.
  • Guarantees that all patients receive accurate diagnoses and appropriate recommendations.
  • Fosters a positive Doctor/patient relationship.
  • Effectively utilizes technology to enhance patient/customer experiences.
  • Maintains office systems and procedures.
  • Holds a valid State Licensure in good standing and practices within the full scope of that license, fulfilling Continuing Education requirements.
  • Provides effective training and guidance to team members utilizing company-provided programs.
  • Delivers clear, motivating, and constructive feedback to all associates in a timely manner.
  • Promotes a positive workplace culture aligned with corporate values; identifies individual motivators and directs conversations and actions accordingly.
  • Encourages associates to make decisions at the level closest to the patient.
  • Maximizes partnerships through leadership, participation, and engagement.
  • Takes pride in the office's appearance.
  • Ensures a safe working environment for all associates and patients.
  • Leads by example.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Doctor of Optometry degree
  • Dedication to quality patient care
  • Familiarity with current Optometric theories and technologies
  • Strong problem-solving skills

Pay Range: Employee compensation is determined by various factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills, and local minimum wage requirements. Additionally, competitive bonuses and/or commission plans may be offered, complementing a comprehensive total rewards package.
