We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team at Thom Child and Family Services. As an Early Intervention Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing home and community-based services to infants and toddlers who have or are at risk for developmental delays and their families.
Key Responsibilities:- Assessment and Intervention: Participate in multidisciplinary team assessments of the client's developmental status and provide direct services and activities developmentally appropriate for children 0-3 and their families.
- Individualized Service Plans: Develop and implement Individual Family Service Plans (IFSPs) with responsibility for identifying goals, objectives, and strategies related to the child's development.
- Progress Monitoring and Reporting: Complete progress notes, reports, assessments, and correspondence as appropriate to ensure timely and effective service delivery.
- Family Support and Advocacy: Provide supportive professional assistance to families, facilitate parent-child interactions to encourage child development, and assist families to act as advocates for their child.
- Licensure and Experience: Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist by the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Allied Health Professions and experience working with infants, toddlers, and families is preferred.
- Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of family systems and early childhood development, ability to engage in meaningful, therapeutic relationships with children, parents/caregivers, and community partners, and commitment to delivering individualized and culturally humble services.
- Communication and Organizational Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
