Key Responsibilities:
- Assessment and Treatment: Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech and language disorders, and develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of students.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans, and provide regular progress updates.
- Therapy Services: Provide speech and language therapy services to students individually and in groups, using evidence-based practices and techniques.
- Documentation and Progress Monitoring: Maintain accurate and detailed records of student progress, and use data to inform treatment decisions.
- Professional Development: Stay current with best practices and research in the field of speech-language pathology, and participate in ongoing professional development opportunities.
Requirements:
- Education: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Licensure: Illinois state licensure or eligibility, and certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 1+ years of experience in a school setting, with a strong background in assessing and treating speech and language disorders.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and educators.
