Job Summary

This Part-Time Operations Specialist role offers an exciting opportunity to join our Pipestone, MN facility. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient loading and unloading of agricultural inputs from railcars and trucks.

You will work closely with customers to provide excellent service, maintain accurate records, and promote a strong safety culture within the facility.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out general labor responsibilities promptly and efficiently
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of commodities handled at the location and comply with company policies and government regulations
  • Work with customers in a courteous and professional manner
  • Prepare trucks and railcars for loading/unloading, which may require sampling, loosening large nuts, opening hatches, and attaching/detaching flexible hoses
  • Load and unload agricultural inputs from railcars and/or trucks using heavy or light-duty machinery/equipment
  • Monitor and control all load-out functions
  • Understand and operate automated scale/dump systems
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance tasks, including lubrication of pumps, valves, and loading arms
  • Inspect in-use equipment for seeps and leaks of process equipment
  • Maintain quality of inventory (may include blended, bulk, or packaged product)
  • Keep all work areas clean, orderly, and safe
  • Perform grounds maintenance, including snow removal
  • Perform warehouse work, including driving a loader, loading/unloading inventory, forklift operation, and general maintenance
Requirements
  • Knowledge of Operations and/or Business Operations
  • Meet minimum age requirement
  • Ability to operate machinery such as loaders, conveyors, tractors, and track mobiles
  • Ability to work extended hours during peak seasons to meet business demands
  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • Agriculture experience preferred

Estimated Salary

$45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
