Position Overview:

This role is available in both full-time and part-time capacities. As an Ophthalmic Technician specializing in Clinical Research, your primary responsibilities will include assisting with comprehensive ophthalmic assessments, performing Fundus photography, conducting Slit Lamp examinations, and executing various tests and procedures. You will be tasked with documenting observations, entering data into electronic systems, and providing essential support throughout clinical research initiatives. Collaboration with the research team and medical professionals will be crucial to ensure precise data collection and compliance with study protocols. Comprehensive training will be provided for research-related tasks.

Required Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) or an equivalent credential.
  • Prior experience in an Ophthalmic Technician role or a related field, along with a positive attitude.
  • Proficient knowledge of ophthalmic instruments and methodologies is essential, including experience in scribing and conducting Fundus photography, Slit Lamp examinations, and other relevant tests.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in documentation is necessary.
  • Able to thrive in a dynamic, collaborative work environment.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with a willingness to engage in a multicultural setting.
  • Familiarity with computer systems, electronic medical records, and clinical trial management systems is required.
  • Completion of an accredited ophthalmic technician training program is advantageous.
  • Experience in phlebotomy is a plus; however, training will be provided for those without this experience, including lab sample processing and shipping.
