Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Meat Trimmer Trainee to join our team at US Foods, Inc. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for trimming fat and skin from meat, customizing portions of products, and maintaining a clean and sanitized cutting room.

Key Responsibilities
  • Trim fat and skin from meat and customize portions of products using knives or other meat production equipment.
  • Count and stack portions on trays according to customer and company specifications.
  • Label portions with supplied product labels.
  • Set up the cutting room as required.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitized cutting room and surrounding area.
  • Follow company GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) to ensure sanitary conditions.
  • Work in a refrigerated environment (35°F-45°F) and occasionally in a freezer (-10°F to 10°F).
Requirements
  • Kitchen prep experience and basic knife skills preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 months experience as a trimmer preferred.
  • Experience with laser portion machinery or other meat production equipment preferred.
  • 6 months in production, manufacturing, or meat trimming experience required.
Working Conditions

This role requires frequent standing, walking, and lifting (up to 100 lbs). You will also be required to push, pull, climb, bend, and grasp objects.
